In this lesson, students will learn how to write and set time on a digital clock with whole hours. In addition, students will learn to differentiate between A.M. and P.M. Students slide to reveal all about reading, writing, and setting a digital clock on their own. Then, students will complete several activities in which they practice writing time and setting clocks to reflect the correct time on the adjustable clock tool.

Students will be able to properly write and set time with whole hours using digital clocks.
Students will be introduced to digital clocks and their importance. Then, students will look around the room they are currently in and spot digital clocks.
Begin the lesson by having students uncover several facts about reading, writing, and setting a digital clock on their own. Guide students in completing several activities in which they practice writing time, such as writing the time their race begins and writing the time they see on each digital clock. Next, guide students in setting digital clocks on their own. Students will adjust clocks to reflect the correct times. Explain the difference between A.M. and P.M. and have them complete several activities applying what they learned.
