This “I spy…” activity is both fun and challenging, perfect for Valentine’s Day! The activity is colorful and filled with a variety of images taken right from our own Gynzy library. This activity also helps to build a variety of skills for younger students, including counting and visual recognition.
Students will love scanning the pictures to locate the different items. Have your students count how many of each picture they find and write the number down. They will look for items like cupcakes, bugs, hearts, and cute, Valentine’s Day monsters!
Teaching tips
To help students keep track as they count, use the pencil or highlighter tool on the board. Students should cross off each picture as they are counted. This will help to avoid counting the same pictures multiple times. In the end, see if all your students come up with the same answers!
