Students will be able to recognize and print the letter Ww, as well as determine if a word has an Ww sound.
To reveal the guide for the lesson, students will move all the Vv's to the letter bank. They will review how to write the letter Vv. Students will drag "W" the 5 W's.
Wes the Walrus will have Max demonstrate how to write the letter Ww. Students will then practice writing uppercase and lowercase Ww on the board and on their own paper. Two students can race to complete a puzzle that makes the letter Ww.
Students will then practice and pronounce Ww sounds. They will get to name as many words that start with the Ww as they can think of! They’ll also get to use their letter Ww knowledge to complete a fun activity that will help Wes the Walrus stop his words from sinking.
