Learning objective
Students will be able to recognize and print the letter Rr, as well as determine if a word has an Rr sound.
Introduction
To reveal the guide for the lesson, students will delete all Qq words. They will review how to write the letter Qq. Students will drag R back to spell Rudolph's name.
Instruction
Rosa the Reindeer will have her friend, Max, demonstrate how to write the letter Rr. Students will then practice writing uppercase and lowercase Rr on the board and on their own paper. Two students can race to complete a puzzle that makes the letter Rr.
Students will then practice and pronounce Rr sounds. They will get to name as many words that start with the Rr as they can think of! They’ll also get to use their letter Rr knowledge to complete a fun activity that will help Rosa the Reindeer get the forest and out of the frozen tundra!
