Electricity powers many of the things we rely on at home. Electricity costs money, and so it’s important that we limit the amount of electricity we use. Luckily, because we use electricity so often, there are many different steps we can take to limit the amount of electricity we use. This lesson will review immediate steps we can take to reduce electricity usage in our homes.

Introduction
We rely on electricity for many things in our homes. Electricity costs money and uses valuable natural resources, though, so it is important that we are mindful of our usage.
Instruction
There are many ways to reduce electricity usage without too much trouble. Saving electricity can be as simple as switching off the lights before you leave the room. Or you could make sure to maximize the space in your dishwasher so that nothing is wasted. Shorter showers is also a good habit because heating water uses electricity. By creating simple habits for ourselves & educating others on the importance of saving electricity, we can make a big difference.
