K-ESS2-2
K-ESS3-1
Students will be able to explain how humans change their environment for their needs.
Students will discuss whether humans control the weather. Then they will do an activity about different adaptations to weather.
As humans, we have needs, like food, shelter, and water. Since we can’t change the weather, we can work with nature to have our needs met. Students will learn about construction humans have done, like building homes and schools, or roads and bridges. They will also discuss farming—how it works and why it's important. They will also talk about how humans use different types of transportation.
Review adaptations to weather, construction, agriculture, and transportation with 8 multiple-choice and 2 true/false questions.
Students will recall what they learned by a couple of short questions. They will also complete an exit ticket.
